I have a White PSP Slim bought in the Star Wars Pack.. I have the newest firmware for the PSP installed as well. Ive been out of the hacked firmware business for quite some time but as of today im totally pissed about the lack of PSX downloadable games for the PSP. The only reason I wanted one actually was for a portable Playstation.

I was even willing to pay 5.99 for games I already owned just to have them on the go, but 2 years later there is nothing worth me owning a PSP for anymore. So Im going to try and mod it and turn my PSP into a POPSTATION portable PSX machine using my legally owned PSX Games.

Here is the problem. I see plenty of tutorials using a Pandora battery or making one. Im not technically capable of making one. Is there a way for me to do this without spending 50+ dollars from some online site selling pandora batteries? Hoping that I did not spend my money on some crap shoot.

Is there any other way to mod the PSP slim?

I do not have any friend with a Pandora near me as well as I'm not a kid, so asking my 30+ old friends would make me look kinda creepy..

Might there be some good Samaritan that would send me a battery to do the upgrade and than I would send back to them!? Possible I would do an ebay deal with you and once you receive it back you send back the money!?

When you say this, do you mean your battery is one of the unpandorizable ones and thus actually not able to make it, or you just don't feel you have the skill to?

If the latter, I suggest not modding a PSP at all.

If the former, DealExtremes I can confirm works brilliantly I have it sitting here right now. Or find a friend with a phat PSP or pandorizable Slim PSP battery, make the battery out of theirs, use it, then turn it back into a normal battery.

Only $10.50, probably less than what you would have paid to send a battery to yourself and back plus monies (I always thought money could be singular and plural). Although it'll take a couple of weeks to arrive.

thanks for that link I ordered one so I will wait it out.. 2 more questions..

#1. I have a Replacement Plan for my PSP so I think I need to use it now before it expires. Is there any PSP version I should stay away from!? I mean if I go get a new one today at GAmestop or EBgames should I be worried about getting a unmodifiable PSP?

#2. Where is the latest upto date guide for starting from scratch!?

1. Whats wrong with your current psp? Possibly.

2. The best guide I found was http://www.blastprocessing.net/?page_id=20

2b. Best video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmVUsE2ldKM (part 1) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FlcRXO5Qgw (part 2)

nothing per say just I buy the warranties and swap them out each year so I have newer systems.. Probablem is the White PSP is no longer in stock I dont like the Blue PSP or the RED God of War one so I might just keep mine..if it bricks I still have a little time on the warrantty so I would be covered!
