Hey, guys, i'm new here, but i've been looking for this question for a long time. Let me explain:

I don't know the reason, but my switch lite doesn't turn on the screen sometimes after coming back from sleep, although i can hear the sound is on, i can use d pad and hear the moves on menu when i press it, but the screen doesn't turn on. This happens every week. Sometimes i have to reboot it, sometimes i just wait some hours, and i try to wake it up again, and works just fine.

I don't think is hardware, because when the screen is on, it doesn't turn off, never! it only happens after i put the console to sleep. It's very frustrating when you have a game running and cannot be able to play again. In addition, it's a random thing, sometimes i can wake it up all day, and from nothing it just doesn't turn on, despite i can hear the sound of the menu or the game running. It's just the screen.

Can somebody help me? I have a modded switch lite with hekate + atmosphere.

Hi,

may I ask if you have put hekate's bootloader folder at the root of your microSD card ?
Maybe bootloader/sys/libsys_lp0.bso is missing (or corrupted) ?

|__ libsys_lp0.bsoLP0 (sleep mode) module. Important!
I replaced all the bootloader folder with the latest release. Let's see if the problem will stop. I'll come back to report what happened.
Post automatically merged:

Guys, after some hours testing the switch, playing Read Dead Redemption with some moments stopping and putting to sleep, and then waking it up again to play another session, i decided to charge my console when it was with 29% of battery. A moment later, i pressed the home button, and it was with 86% fully working, i thought the problem wouldn't come back.

When i tried to check about 30 minutes later, the problem showed up, the console partially awake, in other words, buttons working, sound working... i could navigate through the menu e hear all the sound, open the game, but all i could see was the black of the screen off.

Probably could happen with it not charging either, because already was a reality before this replacement of bootloader folder with new libsys_lp0.bso file.

Can somebody give another solution?

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:

still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
