How much do Europeans normally get charged by customs for a $50 item?

In USA you don't really get any customs issue for items under $100 , its mostly only when certain items that go over 1,000 usd where they start collecting

For those on the fence about buying the card, what are you currently holding out on? Is it the price, features or other reasons?
I think the features and the price are the point why to use it.
it has rtc and Flash cards with rtc are more expensive the 35-37€.
They goes normally for 50 and more Euro.

And you can say that Chinese doesn't declare the package right.
Most time it is declare as other thing and with way low price

When you're using the EZ FLash jr. on a GBA, is there any way to play classic GB games with a monochrome palette? Or does it always act like when inserting an original GB cartridge, i.e. automatically switching to the (ugly) blue/green/red palette?

Just in case anybody else is interested in having GB ROMs to load in grayscale automatically... Someone over at the romhacking forums posted a workaround for this: https://www.romhacking.net/forum/index.php?topic=18383.msg389308#msg389308

I can confirm, that this method works on the EZ-Flash jr.

Thanks for the cart! came today, and does work good but LSDJ is having a SRAM Fail. read on the EZFLASH site that it isn't working for someone on the latest FW and I've heard of a few other cases. Can you try running it on the latest FW and see if it's working or not? Thanks!

Had same issue as you running any firmware

Put the saver file in the ''saver'' folder generated by the BGD emu ( https://bgb.bircd.org/)
as advised by manufacturer ( reply above)
and it works now

The EZ Flash Jr + LSDJ error (re: SRAM), interestingly enough, doesn't reproduce for me on my DMG-01 model, but does on my Game Boy Color. (The save file the DMG creates subsequently works on the CGB.)

RTC doesn't work for half the cards they made, and updates take too long to come out. I'd say their quality control is terrible. I should have just gone with everdrive x7

How does power draw compared to the newer generation of Everdrive GB that have power efficiency (supposedly 4x better than original ED GB which i understand is what clones are based on)

Also I understand native play vs. emulation, but have Omega GBA users also picked up a Jr? What is your use case just Pokemon or just peace of mind of native play?

@EZ-Flash2 did you guys use ED GB at all (study it, analyze it, etc.) as reference to make Jr? Or made from the ground up?

Not accusing Jr of being an ED GB clone because it is not, but just curious

Also if Jr were to get save states I would buy it in a heartbeat

Yes, you can link up two gameboys with one running an ezflash Jr. (or EDGB for that matter) and the other one using a real cart or another flashcard.

How does this open to replace the battery when that time comes?

0. Buy a CR1220 battery from any online-vendor.
1. Find a screwdriver which suit the screw on the card case and take it out.
2. Apply an opposing force between the two shells, with the upper shell pointing upward and the lower shell pointing downward.
3. Use toothpicker or other non-metal needle shape tool take out the old battery from the socket.
4. Insert the new battery into socket.
5. Reverse operation step 2 and step 1.
6. Don't forget to dispose your old battery at a proper disposal site.

I got gb and gbc games to work on the super gameboy gor snes. But gba will not reads file error.
The ezflash Jr is a GBC flashcard and will not play gba games.

Also, the super gameboy will only play games compatible with the original gb, it will not play gbc-only games (like pokemon crystal or the zelda oracle of ages/seasons games)

@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think

do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)
