Your Lie In April is my most favorite anime ever. (Not sure if that complies to the rules of grammar but whatever) Thought I'd collect GBATemp's thoughts on it. :D

Oh my wow this show. It's definitely amongst the best shows I've ever come across. I honestly struggle to quantify my love for it in words, it's just phenomenal.
I even watched the live action and mildly enjoyed it (though I confess to laughing when she fell over, that shit was funny lol).

Same. Didn'nt see the live action because I felt as if I might cringe so hard my face would switch sides on my head resulting in instant death.

Haven't watched it yet. Plan on watching it with my daughter. Is it vulgar or inappropriate for a 11 year old?
I haven't seen it yet but its on my radar for when I'm bored. My (then) 13 y/o sister watched it and fell in love with it to the point that she's rewatched it twice now, so I think you're fine. From what I understand it's a "Fault in Our Stars" type disease tragedy semi-romance, but with an added layer of music competition

In a couple comedic scenes, people are shown with blood running down their face. Only happens like twice, and it disappears after a few scenes. This anime is very heartwrenching and emotional. It also might be hard to follow for an 11 year old. Probably not the best anime for her.
