Quick update from the closed beta testing, from a beta tester, for you all die-hard fans and cheerleader girls around the Earth Sphere!
- Translation update efforts are now focusing on C-5
- Editing of character abilities is now done!
- We've got good testing of "World Tour" story up to C-2, and World Core just started too.
- Beta round #7 will be consequently launched soon (with the current staff).

You mean Rank-C Stages?

Hmm, did Blackdog cut off some of his original descriptions? :X

Additionally...
Clean edited names and description of all master skills, skills ,and abilities.
Gundam universe logos are mostly (if not all) edited/translated now, courtesy of Danikk, Giliel and Blackdog.
Danikk's youtube is full of interesting clips that I didn't expect... especially that divabot :X.
I flopped my attempt on C4. Finishing the mission in 1.5 turn because I failed to accumulate enough score. :X

Beta is still ongoing.
- Kira "bugs bunny" yamato and Betaxenon? tackled the world core and overworld hell stages.
- D stages are expected to be a nightmare to tackle. They are the ones with the longest scripts.

As for the OP page, I'm too lazy to edit them because I don't have anything precise at this moment.

Edit (24/11/2016): For now, I think we had enough beta testers as it is.

I've been playing the English version of G GEN GENESIS that was released for PS4, and I really think Overworld has the edge just due to the sheer number of units in Overworld. GENESIS is nice but has only UC-era machines.

Can't wait to get a copy of this translation. Let me know if I can get a copy. :)

I actually want to buy it myself for Vita (this is exactly reason i even bought Vita), hovewer it is not available yet in Russian Playstation Store and i hope i not really going to need to ship it oversea...

And i not really care much of any universe except of UC anyway. Well, maybe Cosmic Era good for the game too, but this X-Turn and Age just out of place.

I love the Cosmic Era units and characters with the exception of Jesus Yamato, so Overworld gets my vote any day of the week!
By the way, keep up the great work team. I can't wait to replay this the way it was meant to be played. Haha, no more alt-tabbing to google unit/character names every turn!

...And I thought you'd be learning to recognize the characters and the names?! Come on, all 400 of them, of course! B-)

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
