Hardware sd card is write protected.

my sd card is write protected. so i cannot paste or delete the sd. i try to use cmd or command prompt and remove the lever or handle locked on the sd. but the disk still write protected. can i repair this sd???????

Check that the lever on the side really is in the correct position, and try another reader. Or another laptop/computer.

If the chips inside have reached their read/write limit, then the SD card may be dead.

Edit: also, one more thing, check the SD card for errors. If it's not been properly/safely removed, it can cause the file system to "freeze" until it's been checked and corrected.

Mine was like this a few months ago, I had to buy a new one as all of the "fixes" wouldn't do anything to it.

Apparently sd cards lock themselves when they are about to break.
