In Steel Batallion, when you lose, you have to start the game from the very beginning. This is the best part of the game! It creates mammoth tension, and forces you to play smart. That's what I want: a game where I have to play smart.
My point is, I think every game should have a saving system like that.
It's rumored that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was to have such a system, but they cut it out at the last moment. I think that is a real shame. Imagine the fight with The Sorrow, and how insane that would be, if it had such a system. That would be the greatest freak-out moment in a videogame ever. I would love that. I mean, I thought Raiden, in Metal Gear Solid 2 was awesome, whereas everyone else seemed to hate him.
