I had to do this for my EZ Flash V (RC18) as I got a black screen after the Dad jumped out of the window.
It worked!

But I didn't have to patch the original ROM via Hexedit when I tried v1.1 last week, weird.

Anyway, it works, thanks a million for the translation!

v2.1 has been released and contains an ALTERNATIVE patch with the fix provided. Please only use the ALTERNATIVE patch if the regular patch does not work for your flashcart.

Some minor dialogue and text fixes have been included as well.

neo, could you explain what you did to the "alternative"?
Did you patch against AP + corrected the header on this one?
Because there are +35000 difference between the two! (different bytes)

What are you talking about? The .xdelta files or the .nds file you get after applying the patch. The .nds file you get after using either patch is the exact same size in bytes.

If you're referring to the size in bytes for the .xdelta files, it's just how xdeltaUI mod.exe makes them.

The .nds file, regardless of which patch you apply, should show the following when viewing file properties:
Size: 119 MB (125,207,004 bytes)
Size on disk: 119 MB (125, 210,624 bytes)

Internaly, more than 35000 bytes are different. (size is the same of course)

My header fix only changes 8 bytes or so...
Hence my surprise to see +35000 difference between regular and alternative.

Ugh, it's because before releasing the patch yesterday I changed our logo that appears at the beginning and I changed the logo that appears on the Load screen. The ROM I used for the regular patch in v2.1 was before those two images got inserted, which was by mistake. The alternative patch has the two images that I inserted. Hence the difference in bytes.

v2.11 coming in a moment to fix the regular patch, so players get the two proper images when using the patch. Sorry guys, I'm not perfect and sometimes make mistakes, luckily this isn't that big of a deal really.

I tried both patches on my M3 Real with latest Touchpod and I got black screens after creating my character. But it works in WoodM3/YSMenu (at least, I got past the screen anyway)
