STALKER is now in alpha! Here's a release from one of the developers:

BUILD RELEASE 1910
This is the last build at the pre-alpha stage; now we're in the alpha stage, which will be referred to as 0.0.1a, etc.
What's new:
- Almost completely transferred HUD from Shadows of Chernobyl
- Working radar with npc counter
- New weapons in the form of a sawn-off shotgun and Makarov pistol
- More perfect inventory from the shadows of Chernobyl
- Early dialogue system (do not use it, as it can cause a crash due to a bug)
- Working medicine kits
- Enemies in the form of blind (and biting) dogs
- Working car with pseudo-physics (???)
- Menu with music
- Ambient music
- Part of the cordon now done
- And much more that I forgot
To start, click start, the rest of the maps are in the maps tab. By the way, I hid some weapons in secret, the sawn-off shotgun is in a yellow building at a military checkpoint - it has a gas mask icon (lol)

To sit behind the car, press up on the D-pad - to drive, press R, and to exit press L. There is a crash on the border of the map because the collision is terrible, but I already know how to fix it in a later version.

Is there some "special" Boot Process needed ?
I got a Black Screen after it starts loading,the Memory Stick LED is blinking for a few Seconds and then goes out.
The PSP-1004 6.61 PROMOD C2p with an 16 GB Sony Memory Card is freezing.

I got a Black Screen after it starts loading,the Memory Stick LED is blinking for a few Seconds and then goes out.
The PSP-1004 6.61 PROMOD C2p with an 16 GB Sony Memory Card is freezing.

Yeah, unfortunately I believe it has issues on the PSP-1000 due to having half the memory. Not sure if they plan to support it going forward? For now I'm not sure there's anything you can do I'm afraid - I'll talk to the guys and find out.

I checked and indeed, the developers do want to support PSP-1000 models, but none of them have one for testing so it comes with no real liability. They'll keep working on it

Another update, 0.0.1a, has dropped! Here's an overview from D. NeyRin, the lead mapper (cleaned up for ease):

Changelog:

- More refined cordon with Sidorovich and ATP (now there are three parts of the area; escape_1, escape_2, escape_3)
- Added new weapons (AKM-74/2U)
- Fixed hands in knife model
- Removed the vehicle from previous build (unfixed bug)
- Small game optimizations
- New picture in the menu

Was able to get the models from ministalker and many other things that I forgot.
Incidentally, on ATP I made a couple of hiding places which can be found in buildings, and there are the same 3 dogs you can shoot.
And soon, I will finish the elevator and full map with good looking terrain and a beautiful map.

To install: Throw the games folder in /PSP/GAME/.
This is not a very big update, but in the future alpha 0.0.2a release you will have the full Cordon, an early garbage with the agroprom including a dungeon, and of course guns. I began to devote more time to development, and with newly designed, optimised/low-poly models that I was given by the developers of ministalker, development has sped up exponentially.
