Hardware Rvl 101 Dvd mechanism questions.

HI, as my last post, I have two wii.
rvl-001 and rvl-101.
The rvl-001 has the Bc.
My problem is that my rvl-001 won't read disk (has clicking noise and error message after insert disk) It seem like bad laser or motor.
My rvl-101 work flawless, but no Bc for gamecube.

I want to use the rvl-001 as my main system.
If I open the rvl-001 and replace the drive to the one that in rvl-101 is the wii able to read Gc disk?
Also I heard that the rvl-101 can't centers the Gc disk so it not work I guess.
But what about the laser len, if I put the laser that in rvl101 to the rvl001 drive, it will be able to read gamecube disk?

What the deal with all wii dvd drive version, its seem like a big black hole .

If you're confident enough, try swapping the parts inside the disk drives. I've poked around a wii drive before, and the Gamecube-compatible one has some interesting mechanical stuff going on so it can accept the smaller disks.

While the 101 probably has a different drive, if its just a bad motor you can probably get away with swapping the motors.

or just buy a used wii, they're supposedly dirt cheap
