Meh, I played it for a bit until I outgrew it and realized it was boring after you did all the fun stuff.

My character was about lvl 91 and I got most of my cash from fishing sharks. Still, most of the stuff was 1mil+ gold, and sharks only sold for 1k a piece back then (roughly, I'd usually got 800g a piece to beat the competitors), so fishing 1,000+ sharks was hours of nothing. And chatting up the people at the fishing guild didn't help. I remember I bought roughly 80,000 Body runes and shortly quit afterward.

It's a pretty generic MMORPG. It's fun for a bit but once you need to make big money, it comes down to nothing but mindless tasks for hours on end.

Runescape was never good. MapleStory and a bunch of other MMOs were (and some still are) a LOT better.

No, it's not. Some program called RSCAngel is able to run it, but it uses private servers. Only if you had an account for RS Classic before it was closed can you go on through runescape.com.

Also, I used to play RuneScape, but quit about 1 and 1/2 years ago. I started playing WoW, but it got boring pretty quickly, and I couldn't keep paying $20 every month.
It opened again for registrations a while ago but now it's closed again

Urg... Runescape was very popular at primary school but it sucked as a few useless updates were enforced. The last things i did was drop all my inventory for others and empty my bank. I never went to play again

I played this very briefly, about..five? Days afterward I decided it wasn't worth the trouble of finding something to do.

RunEscape.

Huh, how did I not notice this before

The game is warning you not to play, it's telling PSO:BB is better.

EDIT: I'm also gonna add you to the list, just for that Nadrian.

you only notice it once you have become addicted to it, and you figure it out and are like OH CRAAAAAP! Seriously?!
But you do get the lucky ones who pick it up before its too late

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
