Honestly i don't get it. I've been tinkering for a while and the only thing i can do is turning off the bilinear filtering

I feel like i'm missing something.

I don't either, but the OP is legit, the changes for filtering are indeed there, try the 11-14 build. *shrug*

Features not yet implemented
  • video options (filtering, aspect ratio, custom viewport, etc.).
  • support for controllers other than the WiiU gamepad.
  • load core / load content and detect core / history list.
  • content scanning.
  • video shaders.
  • alternative menu drivers (like XMB).
  • ...

I'm seeing the options right in front of me as we speak.

Omg we need this on Retroarch now!

We need to give them time to port over the 1.54.1 core, believe me, it's been asked already, it'll take time :P

@osaka35 Are you using the latest nightly?

Go to settings -> Video -> Aspect ratio index, it's working fine for me. Delete config files, all of them, download 11-14-16 nightly, back up old versions you wish to keep. I can adjust the ratios, filters, etc fine, it must be on your end I'm afraid, it it doesn't work.

I cant wait until we can can have fullsets in a folder without the slowdown :) ATM it can take up to a min or more for some of my sets to load :(
I know I can split the roms up into separate letters but I'm hopeful it will get fixed soon :)

See, I don't get how so many other people say it loads fast, on their end, because it sure as heck doesn't load folders fast on mine, and I have a class 10 80 MB/s SDHC card. Other folders like Genesis load instantly, but Snes doesn't, maybe because I have zip files with SRM saves, IDK. Some other cores don't have that issue. I'm tempted to record a video and showing what's going on.

Performance?
Pfff the Wii U can even run Crysis on 120 fps :P
I will try video filters today too just in case.

Oh and finally, MSU-1 Snes9x is here!
GOODBYE OBSOLETE OTHER EMUS!

@ShadowOne333
The filters aren't optimized yet, that's why. Their support is still very much WIP. MSU-1, well, that'll be ported at some point :P

It's been an issue for most ports when they first start off but tend to be fixed eventually. I think it was a problem on the 360 and the Wii iirc :)

This isn't really an emulator issue, it's to do with the seek times to the SD card. It will always be somewhat slow even if they improve it.

It's bad practice to have thousands of files in the same folder, but you don't need to break them up by letter. I have my MegaDrive roms in 4 folders, roughly 500mb each. Massive inprovrment is seek times without going overboard.

Sadly, none worked.

Snes9x is broken now? I'll avoid using it from this build then.

This isn't really an emulator issue, it's to do with the seek times to the SD card. It will always be somewhat slow even if they improve it.

What i don't get is I have other ROM folders, and they load up almost instantly; the Snes ROM folder only has 98 or s files and it still takes 30 + seconds to load the directory. Maybe it's the zip files I have for my saves, IDK.

Edit: Just noticed Snes9x main in the cores :P

Okay I give up. :P
Someone kind enough to share the proper mp3 files to play with prboom?
I tried twice already but I always end up with slow/low pitch music.

Oh also, just tried it out.
Rondo of blood doesn't boot yet, getting DSI exceptions in all mednafen cores.

These instructions are for the Vita version but work fine for any version of PrBoom. This resulted in correct files for me which I have tested on the 3DS, Vita, Wii U and PS3 versions of Retroarch. The key is that that the files have to be renamed as stated. I recommend using the Boosted versions of the files.

Oh no that's not my problem.
I already got them to play in game, the problem is that they seems to be using a bad bitrate or something because they play too slow.
Although I'm not sure if this is a problem with the Wii U build only since it's still in beta, it might be.
