Retroarch overrides not saving

I'm trying to remap controls on a per-core basis, but when I try to save the core override, it keeps saying "Nothing to save, Overrides not saved."

Anyone know how to fix this?

I also get it now. Retroarch is the biggest pile of poop ever written. No, wait. That is an insult to poop. It is worse than that.

start any game and start game menu:
in Controls (no ovverides) select configure (port 1,2,3...) games and set in menu Remap for:
single game
single core
or update or delete settings

    Because co-pilot doesnt even show up on my pc. Not in the taskbar, not in the start menu search, and the option in settings to turn it on and off in the taskbar is not even displayed.
