I have RXtols woking... Kinda. It works if i delete RXtools.dat and put a new one there and then it boots and fails to install everything, but still boots the menu.
I click "Boot EmuNAND" and it looks like it restarting but it just hangs on a black screen?
Also if I dont replace the RXtools.dat it looks like it's booting normaly, (installing the extra data to speed things up) but... FAILS and it restarts?

You are using an old version of rxTools. rxTools.dat hasn't been used in months.

I'm using rxTools_2015-12-05_08.48-a08cfdd with ctrboot on a 9.2 o3ds and I installed the agb firm patch cia over the existing one in emunand. I then installed games to both sys and emunand. They run fine but now rxtools boots 3/10 times. Did I mess up?
CFWs have lower boot rates when run via menuhax, lower still on an old3DS.

If anyone needs a tutorial on how to set it up i found this one the best: https://docs.google.com/document/d/...Ymjp5Cq2LxfQ9cDr0/mobilebasic?pli=1#h.1y810tw
I believe that guide is considerably out of date unfortunately, and author doesn't seem interested in keeping it up to date.

That said, it's tricky to maintain it when things are still in a state of flux.

Any chance of region checks being patched out as an included feature? Currently using NTR for this (legit out-of-region cartridges)
I'd suggest FreeMultiPatcher, over NTR, unless you're using all of NTR's features.

Anyone help me? When I boot rxtools using the menuhax with type 1 (no button needed) It just loop to homemenuhax then rxtool photo, then homemenuhax again.
but when i choose the type 0 (hold L) it's working, i dont know what to do with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated, THANK YOU!

Sounds like your sysNand and emuNand are link. Unlinking them should fix the issue.

I've already unlinked my sysnand and emunand, but how can i verify that?

I already got 2 random folders and a Private folder on Nintendo 3ds folder so i guess my emunand and sysnand is unlinked?

Thanks, but why will you use FMP If rxTools has regionfree anyway, and HANS for eShop spoof? And i never had a problem loading rxTools using homemenuhax+autoboot with ctrbootmanager did not see a difference in success rates in 9.2 E o3DS downgraded from 10.3.
Edit: Removed old post text

One question though. Did anyone get the latest rxTools to work with GBA games? Because on my 3ds it just black screens on gba games while older rxTools versions worked with them.

Why? It says i need it and this is from maybe 5 days ago?
Maybe that's why it wasn't in the folder(i took it from another link)
UPDATE: I can get it working but it does not work on installing the extra data.
Also hangs on launching EmuNAND.

Can someone post a link to a compiled recent build?
If so i will redo my RXtools and try again.
HOW DO YOU DO THIS WITHOUT LAUNCHER.DAT?(and cakes.dat for my build apparently)
EDIT:If i delete launcher.dat it doesn't even run, it just crashes my browser....

Here's a compiled version of a nightly from Jan 3 (rxTools_2016-01-03.895bf35).
Tested on my O3DS with emuNAND RX-E 10.3.0-28U

http://filetrip.net/dl?WO04tgZSsS

Note: The very latest one (Merge pull request #336 from 173210/master AlbertoSONIC committed a day ago 16ac215) does NOT work. I got a blackscreen (tried twice to install it).
Nice, just tried it, well I don't see a difference but newer will probably also mean some bugfixes... your build works fine for me

Edit: Disregard this, I edited my post above :

http://gbatemp.net/threads/release-...olkit-fw-2-0-9-2.382782/page-795#post-5935921

but didn't have my coffee yet.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I was gonna upload the latest commit (rxTools_2016-01-08.0222988), but AlbertoSONIC keeps updating it.
Unlike 16ac215, 0222988 actually worked.
I'll wait a few hours...

Good work, I like to see new builds coming finally after lavanoid didn't upload anything for over a month now

and also some of nintendo's first party games
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
some of the best selling games on the switch are wii u ports (that are priced way too high
like come on 60 for a game thats a decade old??)

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@ColdBlitz, i forgot breath of the wild released for the Wii u
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
especially Nintendo because they only ever lower the price of games when they do a greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice re-release
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and the HD collections released for 7th gen consoles too
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but they don't seem to have done any of those for the switch yet and maybe never will
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I think we all forgot breath of the wild released for the wii u tbh
    +1
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, tbh the HD collections are more justified since they include more than just 1 game per copy
