I wanted to warn everyone to be careful with realhotstuff.com based in new jersey. I have ordered from them in the past with no problems. But recently had a bad experience.

On july 10th, i ordered an acekard for my daughter. They charged my credit card on july 11th. No problem. The card did not work so i contacted them and no answer. I called them and the number listed on the website rings to the new jersey parks department.

On july 16th i saw an unauthorized charge of 23 dollars on my card. I called the credit card company and they told me the charge came from real hot stuff. I was like wtf? I only ordered one thing and they deducted it on the 11th.

He told me it said i owed real hot stuff money from the year 1991. Ummmm in 1991 i was only 8 years old with no credit card. Computers and internet didnt exist like they are now. I dont even think the website existed back then.

So i canceled my credit card and they put out a fraud claim.

The number the credit card company had from real hot stuff was different from the website. I called it and it rang to a painting company.

I am not talking about real hot stuff china. I never ordered from them so i wouldnt know.

Only the one in new jersey.

I dont even blame the company. There is definitely a bad apple working there. A bad employee.

I wrote to real hot stuff in china and told them what happened.

They are going to investigate.

Be careful everyone. They were always reliable to me. Not anymore.

Somethings going on.

Always use a prepaid card for these shady websites. Nothing against RHS. But these website are not as trustworthy as they seem.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
