does any one have an r4i that could test to see if it works on their dsi

if this is true then its awesome

Unfortunately my efforts to find an updated file in their downloads by extrapolating a version increase have not proven fruitful

does this mean they are spoofing the ID of a retail game to get it to boot?!

Well since the ilinker exploit has been blocked, we can only assume that they had to come up with some kind of new exploit. Perhaps by emulating an existing game would be one way to get around the security. Or perhaps the new exploit requires the 'emulation' of an existing game as a boot strap.

Bah it's all speculation of an unsourced video of theoretical exploits! I might as well claim that pink invisible unicorns fly in with the flying spaghetti monster to exploit the firmware.

It'll be interesting to hear what the technical details are. I suppose one good thing about this initial round is that the next time, people will be much much much more aware when updating their NDSi firmware.

That R4i is an AK2i clone

So you can upgrade the AK2i, why not the clones
wink.gif

If the cloned it good enough, the R4i could also be upgraded
smile.gif

This means, R4i clone makers are getting better then the classic flashcart makers?
(héhé)

Let's wait and see who releases first an update for there carts
tongue.gif

R4i or other clones of the AK2i cart ?
AK2i ?
M3i0 ?
SCDSONEi ?
EZFlash VI ? (If you can upgrade this one)

The EZFLASH IV (EZ4) is a slot 2 flashcart so no it doesn't work on a DSi.

And yes the EZVi (EZ5i) is upgradable (bootstrap/bootloader, firmware and kernel).

Back to topic, it's official on R4i gold website
Nothing about the update itself (if it can be done on this flashcart).

I never said it was okay if I had to buy a new cart. (which we don't know if we do) I'm just showing my gratitude on the fact they got a flashcart to work.

yeah i know......big claps for getting it to work.but buying a flashcard for every new update if you want the update capabilities is kinda stupid...
