Gaming Quick way to move installed games to new 3ds?

My wife just got me and my daughter new 3ds xl's.
We were using 2DS's. I know I need to redump the nand, create emunand, etc, I'm kool with that.
But is there any shortcut to needing to reinstall cia's?
I remember needing to leave one of these one for 4 hours just installing cia's.

There is no way to just paste a cia to the sd card and have it work. You will unfortunately have to reinstall it all. On the plus side, the n3ds processes much faster

I was dabbling a bit and you can xfer the cia's over but it's a boat load of work.
I also have the side effect where my daughters friend code changed but still has her friend list so now no one shows online since they have her old one.
I'm trying to figure out if i can salvage that, but its only 7 friends. I said try and just remeet them since other daughter has them all
