Homebrew [Question] Downgrade?

I wouldn't say there isn't. The only progress is hard modding, but the only way to do that is if you actually have a NAND backup from your 3DS when it was the version you want to downgrade it to.

That's not progress at all, we've always been able to restore NAND dumps with a hardmod lol

Thats why I call it progress. Everything is progress. Hard modding eventually turns to soft modding. First unlock for iPhone was hard modded, but now it can be done without hard modding. Someday in the future if we keep on hard modding someone will find a way to use CFW for versions 9.2.0 and above. Its a opinion and a fact.

I made a very stupid mistake by going from 9.2 to 9.9 because I didn't know there was an exploit for that version. I updated to download ironfall, how ironic.

I might be able to get a 3DS on 4.5 though. I just found one on the internet, and it's super cheap. Don't know if I should get it though.

Unless you made a backup of your NAND at 9.2, no. There are a few YEM1009, Black, Regular New Nintendo 3DSs out there in the wild you can buy. Check https://gbatemp.net/threads/n3ds-xl-firmware-by-version-number.381479 and the post @rsc-pl made on Page 19.
