Question about compatible SATA HDD boards on PS2's Sony's Network Adapter

So, one can use SD cards/FireWire devices until 2TB?
I think 2TB is the maximum for sd cards still & any you see for sale are probably fake. But it's also not a great method.

I've not used firewire on ps2, but my understanding is that the code is basically unsupported & probably doesn't work well.

And it doesn't support PS1 games like i.LINK.
