I'm getting a new switch because being banned sucks donkey dick. I just have 1 little question: If i were to do a system transfer from the old/banned switch to the new switch, is there a chance of the new switch getting banned in the process/future? I will not hack it. I threw my RCM jig out my window lol jk and I am not taking ANY risks with my new switch so I wanna know what's going to happen to it 100% of the time.

Yeah. I just need to transfer my games and save data.

I've seen some threads that say you should NOT transfer the accounts

If you use your account on new switch which isnt currently banned nintendo will ban your new unit. Not even sure if you create new account as they may have your ip address if you try to go online. Im banned and fuck nintendo lol

I highly doubt nintendo has my ip address, that's illegal!

You connected to their servers so they have your IP address somewhere in a log file. It's not illegal, there is such a thing as an IP ban but as far as I know Nintendo isn't that drastic.

Wont the new switch have a different IP?

No, that's no how it works. It may have a different local IP but once it leaves your network and connects to the internet it uses the same public IP that all of your devices use once you connect to anything outside of your local network. You can possibly contact your internet provider and request a new one or spoof a mac address if your modem/router supports it to get a new one but other then that it's up to your provider to give you a different public IP address. Another option would be to use a VPN.

So even if I have a completely unmodified switch, I'll still get banned? Bullshit.

theres ways around it but if they logged ur internet IP ur gonna have to use some VPN or something to change it or just dont use any online features with ur current IP

What if I just ask customer support? I'll have to do it tomorrow since today is Memorial Day and they are closed.

Not necessarily. If you keep it clean it's probably going to be fine. But you will have to contact Nintendo if you linked your account to the currently banned switch to unlink it. This as far as I'm aware is the only way to get the old nnid from the banned switch to the new one. But you will loose your save games as the only way to get those from the old banned unit to the new one would be to use CFW again which could lead to the new one being banned as well.

The tech isn't there for affordable power enough VR headsets at a good market value yet sadly, oculus had a good idea but didn't have enough funds for marketing iirc
