Has anyone had luck running Quake 1 mods with QuakeGX 0.05?

The only one I can find which actually works is Q!ZONE.

https://quake.fandom.com/wiki/Q!ZONE

Abyss of Pandemonium gives the impression it's working and then crashes.

EDIT 1: Soul of Evil and The Sword of Ares also seem to work.

EDIT 2: There seems to be a bug where if you use Quake 1 mods and then go back to playing Standard Quake with 'None', it can't see saved games. It's expecting them to be in /app/quake/NONE. Create that folder and put the ID1 sav files in there. You'll see 'NONE' and 'None' as mod options, select 'None'.

EDIT 3: There's an annoying bug in QuakeGX 0.05 loading saved games. If you try to load from the start screen, it won't work. If you start a new game, it will work. You don't need to select difficulty, just start the game.

EDIT 4: This lends itself to overclocking on a Wii U. The performance improvement isn't dramatic, however, it is there.
