Hardware PSVR headset firmware question

My PSVR (V2 if it matters) is arriving today, I just saw mention of headset firmware versions, which I hadn't thought about, so quick question - if the headset gets updated to its own latest firmware version, by using it on my legit updated PS4 Pro, will it still work with 5.05 firmware on my old hacked PS4 Chonky Boi?

According to some Reddit post, latest PSVR firmware is 4.10, which came with PS4 firmware 6.00. So is the PSVR firmware compatible with older console firmware, like Switch joy-cons, or am I going to have to update my hacked console to 6.72 to be able to use the headset with both consoles?

Guess nobody knew so for future reference.... yes. Headset was already on 4.10 firmware which is apparently the latest (updated console didn't offer to update it anyway), and it works happily on both the updated console and the 5.05.

It’s regardless, if you use it on a 7.51 OFW console, you can just spoof a 5.05/6.72 hen console to 7.51 and use it anyway.

Thanks, yeah whatever trickery the normal 5.05 hen does made it work with no further faffing. Tetris Effect in VR is nice
