Odd. I went and enabled the lock- without disabling the VSH. It took a minute to engage. That was on the XMB. I think there might be a defect in my PSP, but I don't know. Do note that some homebrew don't respond to the lock or sleep mode properly, regardless of the VSH setting.

And yes, both 5.x and 6.x run the N64 emulator... but just in case nobody's told you, it's not nearly as good as it is on the PC. Most games don't play full speed.
And yes, 6.35 PRO-B run PSX (as do all the 5.x custom firmwares).
