Hardware PSP charger problem

does anyone know any troubleshooting step on how to fix the psp charger problem? Dont really wanna buy another charger

I seem to be having this as well since whenever I plug in to charge via powerpoint it doesn't charge at all.

Hacked PSP or no? Connecting it to a powered USB port (opposed to an unpowered split/hub)?

my psp is hacked. Im referring to the wall outlet charging not the PC usb charge

But does it charge via the USB plug when connected to transfer stuff to the memory stick? This will show if it's a charging issue with the battery/internals, or the jack/cable.

yup it does charge via usb. Is there like a guide on how to fix the charger?

Well my PSP is only able to charge through the USB connection but not with the AC cable so is it a problem with the console or the cable?

You plug it in and it doesn't charge/the orange LED doesn't light up?

I plug it in but it both doesn't charge and the LED doesn't light up.

The easiest method to rule out if the charger is damaged, is by getting another charger.

Buy one, try it, if it works then super!
If it doesn't work, bummer, return it to the shop and report back here to see what more fun advice we can give you
