Aaaaand the ban hammer drops!

5.1.0 and never used CDN, using SX for the past couple of days (SX 1.1 since yesterday) with a shit ton of backups.. Updated all the backups when prompted (probably the reason behind the ban).. Eitherway I was expecting that to happen just not this soon.

Be careful if you care about Nintendo's shitty online services, and happy pirating to all ✌

Edit: I didn't do this new thing where u change the cart ID with a legit one to play online, so this isn't it.

Edit 2: Updating backups works just fine, while I can no longer access eShop.

Edit 3: To all the morons who seem to think people have nothing better to do than digging up a month old tweet to make a fake thread:

Edit 4: Downloaded Rocket League (bought legitimately) and tried going online, got the same message. So, no.. You cannot play legitimate games online after the ban.

Edit 5: Games I purchased from eshop used to appear with a cloud icon in your games library (last icon on the right). Now they no longer do. I can only redownload games I archived instead of deleting.

Did you play online with backups or did you just update your backups without playing online?

Did you update your games via SX OS or OFW?

More info plz.

Yeah, that's a massive given. The warnings have been there since the start, pirate = ban.
Now we need info on e-shop and game updates, post ban.

If you had the dumped game mounted when you downloaded the update, it definitely sent the bad cert to nintendo and flagged you. What people should try is mount the cart to make the tile appear, then reboot into OFW and choose Options and try to start the game update that way, that way since no cart is mounted it -shouldn't- try to send any license data to Nintendo since the cart is "ejected", but this is just speculation.

Now try to update a game, see what eshop access you still have and share it here. Thanks!
Done.. This was actually what I was hoping for! I got my xbox for online play and never thought about playing online with the switch. So getting banned didn't matter unless it affects my ability to update, which it does not.
