Hacking PS3 Firmeware Questions- First Time hacking ps3 Help!!! #2

Hello everyone! So as in an earlier post i had a list of questions regarding the PS3 Jailbroken etc etc.

So i purchased a Jailbroken ps3 with Cobra CFW on it and is at 4.46 CFW and I kind of want rebug instead with a higher CFW.

The problem is I have no idea if the system is CEX or DEX and how can I update from COBRA CFW to REBUG CFW without bricking my unit?

How do i find out if i have CEX or DEX.

Where can i find a decent tutorail on installing a PS2 classics PKG successfully to play PS2 ISOS.

Any help you folks can give is greatly appreciated.

99% of all units are CEX.
DEX is debug unit firmware or if someone decided to convert.

Any loader or spoofer will be able to tell you.

Just disconnect the unit from the internet, remove any discs from the drive, and update from XMB should be just fine.

In any case if you try to install the wrong Rebug F/W the option to upgrade will be greyed out.

There's some decent articles on PS3Hax/PSX place on PS2 classics, but to be honest, the compatibility is terrible for classics/ISO on non-BC models. Can check the following list to see the compatibility. If it's a PS2 classic you can get on PSN, chances are it'll work.
