Do you say "enn three dee ess" or "new three dee ess"?

I always type "an N3DS" but I see people type "a N3DS" and I wonder if they are saying "a new 3DS" to themselves.

I read it as N3DS in my head, but I always call it New 3DS when speaking. I just read things as they're written.

I think it's important to spell out the "new" to avoid confusion because the official names always have "Nintendo" in them.

I remember people actually using the n3ds acronym long before the new 3ds was announced.

Depends. I like to say enn three dee ess when it's shortened, but when it's spelled "New 3DS" I won't say "enn".
