Hey guys!

So I followed the tutorial @Shrinefox created on how to dump vita files, save files included.

Everything went well and I managed to dump a number of my cartridge save files until I came to Tales of Hearts R. The funny thing is, everything was going smoothly, with the save files showing up in savedata0 and I was about to dump my saves for this game when halfway while transferring the files via FTP, they suddenly disappeared from the savedata0 folder for no reason whatsoever and now I am unable to see or transfer any save files so matter how many times I delete the patch folder and redo the steps to access savedata0.

I tried dumping save files for another game after this problem occurred and I could do it perfectly fine but still no results with getting the ToHR save files to show up when I went back to try and dump them again. Tried restarting the system and following the steps again but still no results either.

FYI, my save files are completely intact and can be loaded when I access and play the game normally so I have no idea why they aren't showing up anymore in savedata0 when I decrypt the game.

Any ideas what's up?

This might sound obvious, but have you tried again since then? Sometimes FTP isn't perfect. I've had the files not show up in a folder until I exit and reload it. I've also had transfers fail because the screen went to sleep in the new VitaShell that Henkaku updates to.

So uhh, yeah. If you're certain it's not a problem with FTP or VitaShell, you can try this instead:

Keep in mind if your game is a digital downloaded version, you will need to dump and install it using Vitamin for this to work, or else it will erase your save. Be careful.

I have tried it again since then and still am unable to see the save files. I have tried everything from restarting the FTP program and vita, making sure the screen doesn't go to sleep etc. and still no go unfortunately.

I guess I will try vita save manager instead and see how it goes, thanks for the info!

Nope, all my games are physical cart versions so there shouldn't be any problems right? I do not need to dump and install them using Vitamin right?
