Yeah, I run it, that's why I asked :P

Even though I'm not very good at it.
Ah! Wonderful, I wanted to talk to someone about the website. I think that it would be best if I gave my feedback publicly so that others can also pitch in their ideas.

So here is my criticism/feedback:

  • There really needs to be a way to edit codes that I already posted. Sometimes I do small grammar mistakes and there is no way to do small edits without having to delete it and do it over again.
  • If I were to do a collaboration with someone else, or used their address/values. It would be more better if I can add their account or username in the brackets also.
  • So let take a look at the Super Mario 3D World (NTSC-U) page that I created. On the top it says, "WiiUcodes: Codes for Unknown Game". It would be nice to have moderators/admins or registered accounts have the ability to change the name.
  • This one is probably the most important one. There needs to be way to have newly added pages be shown when the user would press [Show all games] button. I doubt average users are going to know what "ARPE01" or "0005000010145c00" are for their game.
These four are my biggest criticisms/feedbacks. There are other features that I would like to get added in the future, like a way to restrict region (like how geckocode website works), a search function that can also use names of the game to find cheat codes, the ability to create sections (like the subcategories options in geckocodes website), and useful links to the CosmoCoutney's Codehandler or any other useful hacking tutorials.

But for now, I think the four points that I brought up are something you to talk a look at for now if you have the time.

I think this site has the potential to be great in the future! There just needs to be some work done to it to make it better.

Whoops, yes, it's designed to get the title from GameTDB, but this apparently broke at some point. Games that don't have a clearname aren't displayed in the all games page, to not clutter it too much. Gonna try to get that running again.

This one is difficult, since i'd have to redesign much of my older work - maybe we'll get to that, but meh. I'd say put it into notes.

There really needs to be a way to edit code that I already posted. Sometimes I do small grammar mistakes and there is no way to do small edits without having to delete it and do it over again.
I actually have that already mostly implemented, but I wasn't able to finish it yet. Should be done soon.

Thanks for your feedback!

Is there a code for 3D World that freezes the time for any of those Mystery House Minigames?
As far as I am aware, not that I know of. I can look into it in the future, but if I do find the address/pointer, it will be for the NTSC-U version of the game. I hope you are okay with that.

Do tell me (either through pm or on the thread) when this problem is fixed if you are able to.

Hmm... tried searching to see if it was already done...

But so far no results.

I remember a long time ago that Phantom Wings or some other hacker made a few "unsafe" codes with Final Smashes for Brawl.

Namely, ASM code to let you get your final smash on taunt.

And a code that breaks the one character only final smash.

It causes crashes depending on the final smash loaded in memory, but I'd like to recreate the double final smash Montage video I had for Brawl with Smash 4 Wii U.

Anyone have any ideas on how to start searching with TCP Gecko?

Sorry, I forgot to say that this is for NTSC-U. I found the codes for the disk version, but it should work the digital version. I just don't have anyone to confirm it with.

I exported your list for others to see (For everyone else, some of these codes might not work with the recent version of TCPGecko):
WARNING: THE MAJORITY OF THESE CODES WILL ONLY WORK IF YOU'RE PLAYING IN THE FIRST PROFILE

EDIT THE CODES TO SEE A DETAILED EXPLANATION FOR EACH ONE OF THEM

Press the button L of the gamepad and you'll
become a cat.
It MIGHT not work in a few levels of the
game. There's a big chance that the game will
crash if you use it in a desert themed level.
(2-1, 4-1, 6-6, and 5-A).
All the others should be fine.
The Special Worlds and some levels out of
the any% route might be glitchy, since I
focused mainly on the any% speedrun route
levels. 3-4 with Peach will glitch the game once you perform a cat only action (no idea why).
Same with Toad in 5-4, 6-H, 6-C and 8-Train
and Luigi in 8-C.
For the crashing levels, disable the codes
before entering them.

This code can be modified to produce the same result as the Play with 5 characters at once code. Just make sure to read the instructions before using this code.

If this code was to be activated during the character selection screen, the death screen, or the save file selection screen. Then this code will allow you to swap characters on the fly without any side effects.

However, it activated in level or on the world map, this code can cause game breaking side effects. The common being stuck on the flag pole and pipes that shoot the players. If used on the world map, you lose the ability to move around and the background becomes broken until you set the value to the character that is actually on the world map.

With that being said, if you were to use a button activator with this code, you can have all the character spawn under a bubble and be controlled with one controller!
Got them in the PAL version but some friends tested them in the NTSC-U one and they work as well. It'd be great if you found pointers for some of them, I tried to myself but it was mostly too hard.

because for some reason these were never done/released yet:

Kart Size Modifier (also adjusts size of tires and glider to match, gets really glitchy at big sizes)

also, a silly one I found while looking for the other 2:

Music Speed Modifier (speeds up or slows down the music but only during races, not in menus, highlight reels, etc.)

I actually did find a pointer for the Moon Jump code. It works with all character across saves and should work with all levels (the exception being the world map).
Code is for disk version of Super Mario 3D World (ADRE01)

Substitute the X values for a hexadecimal floating point:
  • To generate this value, go to the Conversion tab in JGecko U and select [Floating Point --> Hexadecimal] button and input the number you want to convert.
If you are not sure what value to use, I use 15, which is 41700000 in hexadecimal floating point.

This code must be used with a button activator, otherwise the character will always be rising (or falling depending on the value that is provided).

I was not sure how to credit you, so I went off of the username you put in the code list. If you want me to change that, I can.

While some pointers are easy to find, like the character powerup, invisibility, instant sprint, there were others that I am having trouble finding, like having infinite time when going through the purple warp boxes, instant cannon charge, quit level while air born. If I can't find those by the end of the summer, then I will post instructions how to find them so someone else can find pointers for them.

I actually did find a pointer for the Moon Jump code. It works with all character across saves and should work with all levels (the exception being the world map).

I was not sure how to credit you, so I went off of the username you put in the code list. If you want me to change that, I can.

I tried this code, it isn't working.

Are you being for real, cause that's hard to believe, DK is Nintendo and made in japan, Sea of thieves was from Microsoft, in America. I'm not calling you a liar, just didn't know.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Ok yes they were both made by Rare, but DK was from Rare back then, Rare now is owned by MS. So makes since.
