I need some help because with the old tcpgecko you could hack the mii maker with no problem, but now with the new tcpgecko it won't let you. I don't have a 3ds and I wanna create hacked mii names so can anyone help?
The input value must be hexadecimal and searching the entire range would take pretty long. It's not harder lol.Why is it so hard to find values with jgeckou when it's so easy to use cheat engine? When i use cheat engine I put in the number i'm looking for and I always get results. I'm trying to find the gems in yoshi's wooly world and find nothing. I'm supposed to know the search range. I have no idea so i leave it default but it never finds anything. also i saw a tutorial and the guy had to convert the number he was looking for to hex before he searched for it. I tried doing that too and found nothing. does anybody know how to find the gems in yoshi?
how come i don't have to select a range when i use cheat engine? what range i'm i supposed to search?The input value must be hexadecimal and searching the entire range would take pretty long. It's not harder lol.
Because the Wii U has different ranges and the PC memory can be scanned much faster. The right range you should look in should be selected already, it's 10000000 till 4XXXXXXX.how come i don't have to select a range when i use cheat engine? what range i'm i supposed to search?
ok i'll try that. thanksBecause the Wii U has different ranges and the PC memory can be scanned much faster. The right range you should look in should be selected already, it's 10000000 till 4XXXXXXX.
ok i'll try that. thanks
ok so since i started messing with it it just has the last option i picked. even restarting everything keeps my last selected options. so how do i go back to default?Because the Wii U has different ranges and the PC memory can be scanned much faster. The right range you should look in should be selected already, it's 10000000 till 4XXXXXXX.
You can also use cheat engine for searching. Just make Dump of the full data section then load this dump in cheat engine through File->Open File and search for your value. Make your next dump with a change for the value you are looking for. Load that file also with cheat and search for your new value. Repeat the dumping and searching steps till you found your value. You can also export your found addresses into a cheat table and import them in the search tab through the cheat engine table converter to JGecko if the found addresses are less than 10000 (don't know the exact value what JGecko can handle).Why is it so hard to find values with jgeckou when it's so easy to use cheat engine? so what exactly is the range? i assume xxxxxxxx is not part of it? since i changed the range it had originally it keeps crashing the wiiu i remember it has 01000000 at the beginning the another number with some letters on the end.Because the Wii U has different ranges and the PC memory can be scanned much faster. The right range you should look in should be selected already, it's 10000000 till 4XXXXXXX.
It supports any amount and using Cheat Engine to search is way slower since JGecko U can't optimize the memory dumping depending on the search results. It can dump a lot faster if it can skip bigger ranges when there are no more search results left. Since the search works fine I'm not sure why anybody would do this unless you have very low RAM.You can also use cheat engine for searching. Edit: you have to add 0x10000000 to your found addresses beacause the dump starts at 0x10000000
You would edit/change it like normal. It's a feature.ok so since i started messing with it it just has the last option i picked. even restarting everything keeps my last selected options. so how do i go back to default?
Wrong.so i have 45333 gems in yoshi woolly world i convert it to hex and get 283443
Then remake it. You should know everything by now.I've searched the thread and several people people way more experienced than me haven't been able to find codes for yoshi.
Yoshi Woolly Wood [ Pal /Disk]

so i found this code posted but i have ntsc and it didn't work
ok i see what i did wrong but how do u know to add 0x before the B115? I don't know anything about this so things like that would prevent me from figuring out.It supports any amount and using Cheat Engine to search is way slower since JGecko U can't optimize the memory dumping depending on the search results. Wrong.
45333 = 0xB115
You could've just used the conversions of JGecko U so how did you get it wrong?
Ah,
0x45333 = 283443 but that's the "wrong direction".
Again, it's all user error. Please concentrate and learn the stuff you're dealing with before blaming the author that "he made a bad or hard to use software" because you fail at it.
Then remake it. You should know everything by now.
You don't write 0x it just means the number is in hexadecimal. JGecko U only accepts hexadecimal input in most fields to begin with. And yes, it's not for noobs who don't know the basics of computer science like data types, RAM and so on. Depending on your skill level you can use more than the codes tab.ok i see what i did wrong but how do u know to add 0x before the B115? I don't know anything about this so things like that would prevent me from figuring out.
--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------
I'm not really blaming the author I'm just saying that this tool is not for noobs. You must have to know something about editing memory when you add 0x to the result you get in the conversion. I don't know anything about it. I'm just putting the information as i see it. Is there something i'm supposed to review before i start trying to find my own codes? basics of editing memory? I appreciate your time in responding to my questions.
Hey, I think I found the offset to make this code work in v1.4.1 of the game (probably WON'T work on 1.5.0).Updated this code for Version 1.3.0
