It's a hassle to have to unlock everything before a party where people will want to play, and there is barely any vehicles and 16 levels (the 4 first available).

It could be done, via Gameshark (Orcarina) hacking, but it would be a lot of work...

If you want to avoid the "hassle" of unlocking stuff, you could easily download a savegame that has everything unlocked for you already, although thats all the fun in replaying MK!

Then if you just want to unlock stuff, why don't you just use other codes like "No Laps / Cross Line to finish", you can get 3 stars in every GP that way and unlock everything quickly

I can play online with a copied savegame just fine. Its not friends code bound as far as I know.

Heres an ocarina code that will unlock everything for each license.
Just replace the XXXXXX with the correct code.Only have to use it once and then its saved onto your console.It worked for me just fine.

i think you guys are missing his point.

In the old mario karts, it was very fun to unlock all the courses and karts with a second player by your side. This game is lacking such a feature, hence why he was asking if it was possible to "hack" it back into the game.

like troythezombie said, you guys are missing the point, he wants to play grand prix, and unlock stuff, with a friend playing along side him, not just a multiplayer tournament. but i'm pretty sure this is impossible with any hacks

When you start up the game it asks you to load a profile (the one with your Mii on it). Determining which "license"/Profile determines which profile to unlock all of those features for.
