Isn't noise another factor in the Go's favor (since the UMD drive is rather loud)? I'm surprised though that the Go's battery life isn't significantly improved without the need of a UMD drive.
I forgot silent running. You're right though the battery life sucks. I was looking at higher capacity batteries for it.

The trick to using a Go comfortably, and this took me a while to work out, is to not use your fingertips to operate the shoulder buttons. Instead, wrap your fingers around the unit. I have big hands and I find that I end up operating the shoulder buttons with the inside of my index finger just below the first knuckle. When used in this way the horrible, squidgy feeling shoulder buttons start to make sense and the unit is very comfortable to operate for long periods. It just takes a bit of getting used to operating the shoulder buttons that far down your finger.

I've tried the dualshock connection feature. Pretty cool. You don't even need a PS3. There's a pc program (unoffical of course) that can act like the PS3 :) (You only need that to pair the controller to it.)

Whats the name of the program? And will this program allow for charging of the dualshock 3 via a PC.

Reason for getting a PSPgo over other other PSP.
  • I find the screen much brighter and looks cleaner and crisper than other models. it is a lot easier to see in well lit areas.
  • It is a nice size for the pokcet and I find it more comfortable now I am used to it. It took a while to get used to it.
  • Internal storage so you don't need to carry UMDs around
  • Takes M2 cards which are a little cheaper and seem to have less isues with comatibles than pro duo cards.
Reason for getting a PSPgo over a Vita.
  • It is a lot, lot cheaper (£50 new)
  • It is hackable for homebrew and Um... backups, ok I know.
  • Perfect GBA, PSX and a lot of other emulation.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the Dualshock controller is not fully compatible with snes9x mecm. As an example, when you do a save state it will ask you if you want to overwrite the existing state you can't use the Dualshock controller to press O or X you must use the built in controls. Also, in some SNES games you can't use the Dualshock controller in certain parts (might be a mode 7 issue as it occurs when you enter the battle screen in 7th saga).
