you need it if you want to do 100% completion
I have seen the credits and end screens of five pokemon generations, but have never actually beaten the game? This is news to me.

Oh shit, I never collected every blue magic for my materia on FF7. Well there goes my ability to say I beat FF7.
And I never collected every esper in 6...
I'm missing some blue magic in five...
I didn't get everybody's ultimate weapon in four...

You know, I saw every cutscene of Kingdom Hearts 1+2, but I never got 100% chest collection. Damn, I never beat those games either?

What games HAVE I beaten?

I never said you didn't beat games just because you didn't collect everything. I said you haven't gotten 100% in it.

But that's not what the criteria being discussed was. The criteria being discussed is what you need to know in order to play the game, and all the basic info is shown to you while you play.

i used an online braille guide, cause back then, i threw away my boxes and manual.

metagame and competitive play needs a few guides, but then again, thats what happens when the only viable strategy isnt "mewtwo kills everything while chansey uses thunderwave" anymore.

I remember seeing all those dots on the little cave things when I was exploring. I stared at em forever and was just like...
"WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!?!?!?!?"
Then I remembered my little manual and rushed to grab it. Took a look at it and was like "Ohh...."
I think the only game Ive ever used a guide on was a zelda game or two.

you do understand that getting 100% in a pokemon game is different for each people?
some might say its just filling the pokedex/getting every pokemon
some might say getting every female and male pokemon, hell! get each gender with an egg of them too
having all last evo's of each pokemon at level 100
getting every item/having every item in the bag
getting every legenday/doing each event
wining the elite four only with 1 pokemon/only with the starting pokemon
getting max money/getting max coins in the casino
have a magicark from each river in the game
i dont think anyone ever did got 100% in a pokemon game as there are too many crap around to do/find that there is no reason to argue about it

100% generally means collecting every Pokemon. 200% is when you get them all to 100.

There were other stuff that this guy supposedly revealed but we are taking it with a grain truckload of salt especially since this is 4chan we are speaking of.... Plus some of his leaks seem really unbelievable. :\

True completion would be to get every Pokemon, all formes, both genders, all level 100, one with every skill combination, both colour variation........... But of course that is almost impossible even if you remove box limitations or have something similar to Pokemon Box. XD
