Yeah but iirc the downloaded games are encrypted to the console specific keys, there nothing to stop them having a nand mod, downloading stuff on 9.x and then just downgrading and decrypting the content.......that's assuming they don't have 9.x access, but those guys always seem 20 steps ahead of the public so I wouldn't be surprised if they already have 9.x emunand

I think Big Blue Box needs 9.xx emunand and right now Gateway hasnt fixed it

You think BBB needs Gateway for dumping eShop roms? :wtf:

I have a feeling that the demo might possibly work on v8.x, but that's just a theory though...

We have firmware spoofing, don't we? I think it's been proven 9.x doesn't have any new type of encryption. :P

Why it shouldn't ? Don't expect roms to not work on gateway for some time , until they put a new protection method . And even 7.x encryption got deployed slowly and most non nintendo games haven't even gotten it..

This thread is referring to the demo that was just released in Japan. I don't think it will even have Pokemon link.

Personally,
I thought playing the demo will be fun,
but the big 'selling' point is transferring the Pokemon and items obtained.

If it's running off gateway, don't think it's transferable :/

Anyway, I've been wanting to play it nonetheless ><

You think it's not possible to transfer old Pokemans between games with a Gateway? It's very possible with Pokebank. Items, however, I dunno.

This.

Pokemon Link for Pokemon bank,
required pokemon bank to be a running app, and then you insert the cartridge (or it automatically searches for the e-shop version)

If running demo on the cart, I don't think we can remove the cart to insert ORAS :/
