Hacking pokemon black and white crashing

my brother has a problem with his ds, pokemon black and white keep crashing when he tries to save. i updated his firmware with the official and ysmenu that works fine on r4i gold. he has an r4-sdhc.
could anyone be kind enough to help him with this problem?

If he has a R4-SDHC with www.r4i-sdhc or www.r4-sdhc.com on the front then you should download the latets kernel from there (1.41b I think it is at the moment). If he has a card with www.r4sdhc.com on the front the he should use RetroGameFans Multicart update and install the files from the r4sdhc folder. His cart should then work. As a general rule of thumb most R4 carts cannot use kernels from other websites (there are some exceptions but mostly this is true) and you should only download the latest kernel from the web address on the front of the cart. If that hasn't been updated for a while or the website no longer exists then you should try RGF Multicart update and read the readme files to dee if your cart is compatible.
