This game was released on the eshop last week, it seemed interesting and made me think about getting it... While I was checking it online, it seems that this game is scheduled to be released in the US in August in retail form (for the price 29.99$ in Amazon), whereas it costs 10.00€ in Europe (it's the same game from what I've checked), which means it'll give a general idea of how much retail games would cost on the eshop, I guess.

Well, the main question is, has anyone tried this game? Is it worth getting? I saw some reviews online and some don't favour it, but the fact that I can customize my character and has a fun battle system intrigued me.

I wanted this game. But after reading some reviews I'm not sure I still want to buy it. Maybe when (if) the price drops.

Who knows, this doesnt seem like a game that would go retail, though...
It does have a retail copy for pre-order on Amazon tho for 29.99$
That's strange. Hopefully people notice it in the eshop and buy it there if the game interests them...

Maybe its like that "spore"-like game. There is a 3ds eshop version, and now they're coming out with a retail version but it has way more stuff and is an entirely new game. (Can't think of the name).

This game it will be sold only on the "eShop"... at first, it would be a retail game, but then Renegade Kid decided to put it on the eShop, because retail games are more expensive and that kind of things xD

Sorry for the bad english >.

it is not. it is a quest grinding game. overall, it is not worth the price. i will make an overview video later of it.
I didnt mean it was similar in gameplay, just similar in that it has a eshop version and a retail version.

But now we know that isnt the case.

I had big hopes for that game too... until the first reviews were published. Average is about 5.5/10 so really not that great... Probably not gonna bother although I would have liked to... :(

This does not look like a RPG. It looks like a fighting Game similar to that of Mortal Combat. Not interested. :glare:

Many games have been sold on eshop (or Dsiware for a discount price, for a reduced 'Express' Version. The retail game usually offers a more indepth experience.. examples are House MD sold for $30. in store and about $8.00 USD per episode on DSiware, then there is, then there's ClubHouse Express, Strategy, The Family Pak, Chronotwins, was both a retail (in one country) and a DSiware in others if IIRC., Plant Puzzle League-Express, System Flaw was both (and relived as FaceRaiders too) was also both. There were many. In almost every case, the retail version had more content, but as with many was seldom 'better'. Of course lets not forget Puzzle Quest, which I originally paid $30 USD for 3-4 years ago..Plants V Zombies, Mario VS Donket Kong etc etc etc.. and there were more... often devided from retail to DSiware in different countries. dam marketing Strategists (read as marketing Rapists) also let's not forget how the very same games sold for a mere (USD) $.99 cents on IOS.

If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
