Picostation - A PSX ODE based on the Raspberry Pi Pico!!

Just saw this on Twitter, a Pico Pi based PSX Optical Drive Emulator! and looks like its going to be open source!
Massively excited for this, cheaper than the commercial versions out there.

Looks like this project will work on PU-8 and PU-18 mobo revisions.

O man I hope so, Xstation and the others priced me right out lol but Pico Pi is like $10 I was hoping soo much something like this would happen one day

The little Pico is proving very capable in the retro console modding scene. GC now this! I’m hoping one day a neogeo cd version is available one day

PicoStation will only work on PU-8 and PU-18 mobo revisions. its the same compatibility as the Xstation

I hope that they do add support in the near future, seeing as I don't want to mod my SCPH-1002 and only an SCPH-7502.

I've been looking for the parts on the parts list, the problem is you can't buy the parts in singles or low amounts you can only buy the parts in bigger amounts, which gets pretty pricey.
The price to get the pcb made up seems pretty steep too I've never tried getting pcb's made up so perhaps I'm missing something.

That's why I wanted to do it in the first place because it's much more affordable. XStation and PSIOs are way too expensive.

Yeah still wip for now, the pcb/parts aren't final, I'm probably jumping the gun looking for prices for parts but even so, its still a good estimation of what the final price for parts/pcb would be.
