Oh wow, yeah. I didn't realize there were different types of emuNAND. I'd really only use it if it were updateable. Was really great being able to use 9.8 on my o3ds the other day (via emuNAND in Gateway mode). Would love for that to be a reality for the n3ds some day.

N3DS 9.6+ has new encryption that has yet to be broken. Regardless of whether or not we get EmuNAND working on the N3DS, until 9.6+ NCCH is cracked, we won't be able to update to it, and will be stuck at 9.5. On the O3DS however, the firmware won't matter, and we'll be able to update it to whatever we want, as it doesn't have any new keys, and almost definitely won't in the future either.

Pasta repeatedly crashes when trying to use savedatafiler. I don't know why butit's drivign me insane. I even tried installing a cia to give it a title to scan for but nothing.

At this point in time, it's not. If a game requires > 9.2 (Xenoblade, Codename STEAM, Pokemon Shuffle/Rumble) it won't work.
That's not to say they'll never work, as means are possible but simply not available currently.
If a game requires <= 9.2 (which some new releases do, just how this works) it's fine though.

Pokemon Rumble works, Pokemon Shuffle doesn't.

someone needs to document how the Gw launcher loads the gw card in emunand , Time to dump Gw code would be nice to see a .3ds that functions by redirecting like the gw launcher does for its card but instead redirect to sdmc to load any 3ds file ^.^

wouldn't it make sense to start implementing features that already have been documented? for someone who's able to read assembly and write C code, implementing features such as region free and bypassing updates shouldn't pose a problem.

edit: as it is a less trivial thing to do from ARM9, as an interim solition, aforementioned features could be implemented using a CIA. This way, you'd have pasta's signature verification patches justified as well

the project, or rather archshift's work that it is based on is a perfect base for something like a cheat system / action replay / in-memory patcher as well. just add a nifty GUI!

The real problem is that the pasta payload is arm9 but oot3dhax requires arm11(Don't quote me on that)
