Hi, I have bought a new 3DS XL with Firmware 9.8. As I want to use the Gateway Modul I tried to downgrade it to the 9.2 version (EU Version).
I was using the Gateway Time Machine for the downgrade (probably not the best idea).

After the downgrade the device is booting and showing 9.2 Firmware - but Gateway Laucher alsways ends in a black screen.

After some more investigations it seems that my downgrade was not completed which is also shown in the result of downgrade check:

TitleID Vers. Description

So I have identified the missing CIA Files and placed them into the 'update' folder og my SD card.
I have installed PlaiSysUpdater to run downgrade with the missing CIA files again.

Bit once I start downgrade the 3DS end in an error screen (An error has occured...) and I have to reboot. Luckily the 3DS is still working, but now I do not know how to proceed here best.

Hopefully someone can give me some good tips, how to deal in this situation...

is there any gba homebrew that would offer use for that?

The Touchscreen makes using system menu options for brightness and filter adjustments easier

On screen keys would be cool if the rubber ever fails
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I feel like at that point might as well go emulation lol

Some people just like using original hardware for the hobby point of it
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
You can easily buy replacement buttons but it's a good fall back
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
on screen keys would be cool but the gba screen is pretty tiny though :(
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I'd rather use emulation but it's cool regardless again the main point of the Touchscreen isn't just for buttons but for menu options
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
would be way better for menu options
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
although I have huge doubts anyone would be able to make homebrew that would give support for the touch screen
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
then again theres still people who develop games on systems as old as the nes for fun

I doubted 360 emulation would be possible

yet here we are seeing ps4 and even some (very experimental
    ) ps5 emulation
