I don't see why not. It's just a computer. It's not like Valve has the thing locked to a particular OSIs it possible to install other Os, such as Fedora or Mint ?

It doesn't run Ubuntu.. SteamOS is now based on Arch. But has it a "bootloader"....do i have to delete the Ubuntu or could i dualboot with Ubuntu?
Going by the Windows support, AFAIK currently officially only single boot is supported and drivers might be an issue as they don't seem to be 'off the shelf'.
Although I do wonder if someone could potentially unofficially be done by replacing/modifying the bootloader.

No. It's KDE, but still Arch.YEah..but desktop Mode is an Ubuntu Flavor, afaik?
Cinnamon is nice but KDE Plasma is good enough that I don't think it's worth replacing.
