And are you 100% sure that your magnet is able to put your 3ds to sleep and that you are holding start+select+x+power long enough?

Yep, tested the magnet and it does put it to sleep, and i'm definitely holding long enough.

only thing that's concerning me is the flashcart isn't being recognised in the normal DS Menu

You cant recognize it, becuase it is flashed already.
So you have to reflash it back, which is only possible via already hacked 3DS :/

If you have followed the guide (which means you should have everything on SD already) just try and try and try.

I hope you're not trying it with your console on. Most of the time I see the magnet error it's because people are doing it while the console it on.
You only leave it on to find the sweet spot for the magnet.
Then you turn it off, put in your flashcard and load NTRBootHaX with the magnet in sleep mode from an off position.

no, it isn't. it should boot normally after you stop holding them.

This means you're triggering ntrboot correctly but you are missing the file on the SD card. If your SD card is over 32GB make sure to format it to FAT32 so it can be recognised by the 3DS. If it is 32GB or less, try a different SD card. And you've definitely got the files on the SD card inside the 3DS not the flashcart right?

1. Turn on the console
2. Use the magnet to find the sweet spot
3. Remove the magnet
4. Power off the console
5. Insert the flashcard
6. PLace the magnet
7. Hold Start+Select+X first and then hold the power button without releasing the others. Hold for 5-10 seconds and release.
8. You should boot into the installer.

yep, made sure everything is in the right place. It's only a 2gb device SD, is that a problem?

No that's fine for installing, though I'd probably buy a larger one later. Can you redownload the files and put them back on your consoles SD card? It may be a bad download itself. Copy it manually if you can, don't use FTP.

So i'll try + clear up I guess.

I have both the flashcart sd + the device sd in the DS.

On the flashcart SD there's the ntrboot flasher thing (ak2i_ntrcardhax_flasher_dsi.nds) and the flashcart firmware.

On the device SD, there's everything else.

You meant 3DS, but that does not matter. So... where is heck the problem?
