Datel's SD Media Launcher looks to have been released in 2007. The box mentions Wii, and it's the year given in their online manual.

They re-released a Wii version.

Anyway, none of this matters. It's well known that Nintendo copied the design, and I can confirm that my SD Gecko works fine. I'll probably put it up for sale soon.

LOL, it's honestly not that bold, considering how often they do it. Maybe you've been living under a rock, but they're always getting sued for patent infringement. Tons of their peripherals have already been made by other companies, although I usually go with Nintendo anyway since they generally have better quality.

I can't find the information I did before. You'll either believe me or you won't, but I do recognize that I should have linked the information when I first mentioned it.
