I like his reasoning. Trip in Enslaved was a great character. Even though she slaved Monkey to her you understood her reasoning (sort of) and never hated her for making you drag her around. She tried to help as much as she could and felt bad for you and even saved you in the closing moments of the game (though the ending of Enslaved was very strange.) This is why anime-drawn games are better, you can bend physics to your will and make them become as unrealistic as possible. Realistic-esque games suck in comparison because its too real and not as fun to look at. My reason for liking DoA.
