Hello, I hacked my wii for my brother almost 2 years ago and he informed me it has started giving him issues. I used a few youtube videos to mod it then for him but now I have ran into an issue I need help with.

When starting nintendont through the homebrew channel i get this error:

Simple fix: Use the IOS58 installer.
Long fix: Use Modmii to safely update to 4.3 firmware.

Is one of those able to be done purely from pc? Also, what made you realize that would fix it? So i can know for future reference/helping others. I've read that using the ios58 installer requires me to reinstall homebrew? I'm a bit confused on what option to pick when using bootmii.

You may need to reinstall the Homebrew Channel after using the IOS58 installer, since I believe the HBC itself must also be running IOS58, and it currently doesn't know to look for it.
