Everytime you play a DS game you lose the DS Profile exploit.I tried doing it and it didnt do anything, it also made it so I had to redo my cubic ninja mod to make it so I couldnt open gateway through the profile menu anymore, any tips?
What were the exact steps you used? Have you already installed mset.cia before? The process is the same. If you haven't installed mset.cia, you can install both at the same time. If you have already installed it, you can skip installing that file.I tried doing it and it didnt do anything, it also made it so I had to redo my cubic ninja mod to make it so I couldnt open gateway through the profile menu anymore, any tips?
err... sorry for asking but you were writingWhat were the exact steps you used? Have you already installed mset.cia before? The process is the same. If you haven't installed mset.cia, you can install both at the same time. If you have already installed it, you can skip installing that file.
- Have DevMenu.3ds on your Gateway SD card.
- Have mset.cia and bluecardfix.cia on your System SD card.
- Get to the Gateway Launcher Menu.
- Select "Install NVRAM" to install the NVRAM Profile (saves a step later on if you do it now).
- Highlight "Boot Gateway Mode", and hold B. The text changes to "Boot Gateway SysNand Mode". While holding B, press A. Then, press X to confirm that you want to boot sysNand.
- Run DevMenu from the Gateway card.
- Use DevMenu to install the two CIA files.
Once this is done, you should be able to restart the system and use the blue card. You will likely have to reinstall the NVRAM Profile each time you run DS mode software (blue card, other flash cards, retail DS cards, DSiWare, etc), but that can be done using the blue card and GW_INSTALLER.nds. The blue card will not run in Gateway Mode or in emuNand, only in a clean-boot of sysNand.
If you have already done these steps, please post a more thorough explanation of what exactly happens when you try to run the blue card, or use the DS Profile exploit, or what point exactly you're having difficulty.
We're all new in the beginning, don't worry about it. Asking questions is how we learn.err... sorry for asking but you were writing

how does this exactly happen ? I just got my GW and mine is new 3ds 9.1. Whenever I try to run the deep labyrinth from the blue card, it shows error and asks me to shut down the new3ds.
and, another question, is the new3ds supposed to use either zelda or cubic to exploit the GW ? and now that with the lastest 3.2.1, we can just install the GW normally using the blue card ? Am i getting the ideal right here, sorry I'm just a total newbie on this.

"Deep Labyrinth" is just the game the blue card uses to fool the 3DS into thinking it's a legitimate game card. You won't actually be running anything called Deep Labyrinth, you would get a menu of files on the SD card if it ran. However, the 3DS is able to detect that it's a flash card and block it when you try to run it. Part of the latest update includes bluecardfix.cia, which is a file that will allow you to unblock the card, but in order to install it, you have to reach the Launcher first.
To get to the Gateway Launcher menu the first time, you will need Zelda: OoT (and a way to upload the save file to it) or Cubic Ninja. Once you've reached the launcher, you can use the Gateway to install the mset.cia and bluecardfix.cia, removing your need for the games in the future.
Right now, the only useable exploit you have open to you is the one the two games use. Once you use one of those to get in, you can install mset.cia which will open another exploit, the NVRAM Profile / Nintendo DS Profile exploit. Then you can install the NVRAM Profile (either using the Gateway launcher or the blue card), and use System Settings > Profile > Nintendo DS Profile to access it and cause it to boot the launcher. Some actions will cause the NVRAM Profile to be cleared, usually any DS mode software (the blue card, other flash cards, retail DS cards, DSiWare, etc), in which case it will need to be reinstalled. For some people, it sticks no matter what they do, but to be on the safe side, I'd recommend just running GW_INSTALLER.nds after you're done playing whatever DS game you were playing.
I hope this helps. If you still have questions, please feel free to ask, and I will be happy to answer them to the best of my ability.
Cubic Ninja is definitely the better of the two to go for. If you are unable to find a copy, there's a thread of people offering NVRAM installation services as well.Thank you very much for the can't-be-clearer answer !
That explains alot, and well, concludes a lot, now that i would need to buy either one of those. So, on to the next question, which do you think better ? I myself can't get my hand on an exploited Zelda game so I guess I will go for Cubic Ninja, but is there anything I need to keep in mind before buying the game ?
