Hacking Netflix? Does it require firmware update?

Running on 3.40, don't feel like upgrading past 3.41 and thinking of getting Netflix.. Will I need to update?

You need to connect to psn to use netflix therefore you have to update.

I also don't think Netflix requires an update as the Netflix discs started being sent out before even 3.41 came out.

The PSN setup needed an update when the original disc came out to bring it up to that level of firmware, but it doesn't need one since then and it will not go into PSN in any form. I've had the disc since day one and it's a fantastic little tool. Eventually they'll be adding it into the XMB sometime this year or early next, that will obviously be a firmware update and who knows if the disc would be blocked/outdated so it wont' run right at that point but it wouldn't surprise me.

Thank You!!, glad to see a answer with someone with first hand experience with it. I'm aware of Netflix being added in future frmwares.. well I'll just pay for it now, I'll plan on buying a network blueray player in the near future to watch netflix wth...
