I was wondering if the only way to save using nesds is to save state?

I find that saving in-game, then resetting doesn't allow me to start the game from the save point (i have to start over again).

help??

After saving in-game, tap the Save SRAM option in the menu to update the *.srm file on your card with the new save data. Many emulators are like this (Lameboy for instance).

k sweet thanks.

Does "SRAM save" only save progress up to the last in-game save point? Is "RTS" feature basically save state?

thanks

Right, "SRAM Save" only backs up the game's own built-in saving mechanism. Savestates are the real-time saving feature that let you save anywhere (for instance, in games like Metroid that normally use a password system).
