Hacking Needing a Ds Lite Flickering Screen Fix

My bottom screen flickers constantly. The screw that is used to fix that is broken and the only way for me to fix is to open the ds itself. I use something metallic to connect the ends and rotate it to fix he flicker, but that's only a temporary fix. Does anyone know of a way to "tune" the screen without that screw?
