Hi there,

After reading through a lot of topics on both here and Reddit I wasn't able to find a solution for the problem on one of my xbox's.
When I put a disc in the dvd tray it starts spinning and the green light stays on on the console. But that's it, no reading errors or that kind of stuff.
It won't play any disc.
FYI it's an original one with no mods, a cleaned board and a removed capacitor.

Thanks

Hello.:)

If you disassemble your XBox please look which Model your DVD Drive is.

For a Thompson DVD you can look at here:

http://xbox.x-pec.com/thomson/index.html

For a Philips please use the attached XBOX_philips.pdf please

And for Samsung (and all other also) please use the XBox_Repair_GUIDE.pdf

If you do not have an voltage meter:

- please MARK your SCREW(s) Position BEFORE start turning them
- slow, tiny little Moves (less then a Millimeter) and try it after each change.

Good Luck.:)
