So I was given as a gift a NEW 3DS XL that was faulty. When I opened it I saw that c-stick was blown taking with it the power board. So I was pretty happy thinking that changing c-stick and power board would work. A new c-stick and power board later the console was still unable to boot with cracking noise and without any of the screen flashes. Then I decided to swap boards with my working N3DSXL and to see if the main board is the problem and sure after few attempts at one time indeed was able to boot the console even that the top screen was powered on but black with no picture, but that was mostly because I think I inserted the ribbon cable upside down. So I bought new motherboard thinking that this would be the end of the story. But now even with new power board, new motherboard and new c-stick assembly the console is still making the famous cracking noise with BOTH screen completely black without flashes. Can you help me with suggestion what other can I test?

PS.
I rather not open my working N3DSXL as it's in a pretty fragile place I don't want to buy a new board because of stupidity.

Check your speaker wires, they also power the top lcd. Also triple check all your ribbon cables, maybe give em a clean.

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.
    +1

@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
